Collection: Easy-Access Hi-Lo Beds

A Hi-Lo bed raises and lowers the whole frame, so sitting down and standing up becomes a shorter, steadier movement.

The guide below covers heights, wheels and what to check before choosing. Floor stock varies — call your nearest showroom to check what is on display.

Choosing a Hi-Lo bed

What to check before you decide.

Heights that fit the person

Ask for the lowest and highest bed heights and check them against whoever will use it — sitting on the edge should put feet flat on the floor.

Wheels or feet

Wheels let the bed move for cleaning and access, and usually lock. Feet keep it planted. Either way, allow clear space for the full height range.

Who else uses the bedside

Raising the bed brings any helping done at the bedside up to a comfortable working height.

Is a Hi-Lo the same as an adjustable bed?

No — an adjustable bed changes shape; a Hi-Lo bed changes height as well, and most also adjust the head and foot.

Can I see one in person first?

Yes — floor stock varies by store, so call your nearest Beds4U showroom and we will tell you what is on display before you travel.
