The iLift Hilo 280 is a Hi-Lo bed: the entire sleeping platform travels up and down electrically. Lower it and getting into bed is a small step rather than a climb; raise it and getting out again starts from close to standing height, with the mattress at a comfortable working height for making the bed or helping someone. It suits anyone for whom the height of an ordinary bed has become the hardest part of the day.

Hi-Lo or Adjustable — Which One Do You Need?
An adjustable bed changes the shape of the sleeping surface — head up, feet up — while the frame stays at one height. A Hi-Lo bed changes the height of the whole platform. If reading and watching television in bed is the goal, look at our adjustable bases; if getting in and out of bed is the daily obstacle, a Hi-Lo is built for exactly that. Lower, the step in is shorter; raised, you stand up without a deep bend, and whoever is helping works at a natural height instead of stooping.
