Beds4U ("we", "us") operates retail stores across Western Australia and the website beds4u.com.au. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect
When you buy from us, place an order, make an enquiry or sign up to our newsletter, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and details of your purchase or enquiry. Payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay) — we do not store your full card details. If you apply for finance through a third-party provider, your application is handled under that provider's own privacy policy. When you browse our website, we also collect standard device and usage information through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use it
We use personal information to process and deliver orders, arrange assembly and delivery services, handle warranty claims, returns and service requests, respond to enquiries, improve our website and product range, and — where you have signed up or purchased from us — send marketing such as newsletters, offers and review invitations. Every marketing email or SMS we send identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe option, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the business: our ecommerce platform (Shopify), payment providers, delivery and freight partners, and IT and marketing service providers — and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information. Some of our providers, including Shopify, store data on servers located overseas; we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with Australian privacy law.

Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as needed for business and legal purposes.

Access, correction and complaints
You can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@beds4u.com.au or 08 9249 8449. We will respond within 30 days. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will work to resolve it; if you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
