The shelf keeps smaller items within reach, while the wide lower headboard panel folds down to reveal hidden storage. Beneath the mattress, the lift cavity is divided into two long sections, and the footboard adds two separate drawers for easy everyday access.

Leave enough floor space in front of the footboard to open both drawers and stand comfortably while loading them. The gas-lift platform also needs clear space above the mattress, with stored items kept below the platform and away from moving hardware.
Use the headboard shelf for stable, lightweight items and keep loose objects clear before opening the drop-down panel. Check nearby power points, switches and bedside lighting so the broad headboard can sit flat against the wall.
