Traditional Timber Detail Meets an Open Metal Frame
The Jones Bed Frame combines dark reddish timber posts with curved silver-toned metal rails and black structural details, giving the room a lighter, more open alternative to a solid headboard and foot-end.
Four square timber posts define the corners of the bed. Each is topped with a turned bulb finial and stepped collar, while matching timber rails run across the head and foot. Within those rails, three shallow curved silver-toned tubes form the main decorative feature, supported by slim black metal elements. Black side rails complete the mixed-material frame and leave open space beneath the mattress.

A Frame That Takes Up Very Little Extra Room
The Jones is built so the mattress sits over the side rails rather than inside a surrounding border. The result is a frame barely wider than the mattress itself — the Single measures about 93 cm across against a 92 cm mattress. In a narrow bedroom, a child's room or a room that has to fit two beds, that centimetre-for-centimetre footprint makes a real difference compared with an upholstered frame, which can add 10 cm or more to each side.
The open headboard and footboard work the same way visually. Wall colour and bedding stay visible through the frame, so the bed reads as lighter than a solid panel bed of the same size. The timber detailing adds warmth, while the curved metal tubes give the Jones its recognisable outline. The space beneath the mattress stays clear and accessible, which suits under-bed boxes or storage bags rather than built-in drawers.

Bed width is measured across the bed frame. Bed-frame height and headboard height are the same across all four sizes. Mattress dimensions are the Australian standard sizes; individual mattresses vary by around a centimetre between manufacturers.
Before You Buy
- Measure the room using the frame width and length above, not the mattress size.
- Check delivery access for the headboard and footboard assemblies, which arrive as separate pieces.
- Ask about the mattress support and the clearance beneath it if you plan to store boxes under the bed.
- Inspect current stock to verify the timber tone and metal finishes.
