A folding electric wheelchair that packs down to 25.5 cm wide. The Fold and Ride Compact has a silver aluminium frame and folds to 69 × 25.5 × 73 cm. Its joystick folds down out of the way, so the chair can pull in close to a table. It is made for getting around indoors and outdoors over short distances.

The joystick folds down beside the armrest when you pull up to a table, and folds back up to drive.

Solid wheels, 8-inch at the front and 12-inch at the back, have nothing to pump up.

Manufacturer warranty: 12 months on the frame and motors, and 6 months on the battery, charger and controller. Tyres, cushions, armpads, handgrips and other wear parts are not covered. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and the terms are confirmed at purchase.

  • Check the folded size against your car boot, and ask us to weigh it with and without the battery if someone will be lifting it.
  • Ask for the instructions for use and read them before the first ride.
  • Ask about a carer joystick, which lets a companion drive the chair from behind.
