Making the Gas-Lift Storage Work Safely
The mattress platform lifts from the foot end, so the area above the bed must remain clear when opening it. Move loose bedding away from the lifting edge and keep stored belongings below the platform line and clear of the hinges, lift arms and centre supports.
The weight of the mattress affects how a gas-lift mechanism operates. A mattress that is much heavier or lighter than intended can make the platform harder to control. Always lift from the designated centre point rather than pulling from one corner.
